The Serrano hot pepper is also known as green chile, because it is usually eaten immature. Its origin lies in Mexico, where it is consumed in large quantities, often as a spicier substitute for Jalapeño. It usually contains twice as much spiciness as this one, with 15,000 UCS
One of the reasons for the spread of this spicy chili in kitchens is the ease of preparing a large number of dishes.
Other recipes that are made with it are used fresh or pickled as a complement, although the latter reduces the spiciness of the pepper.
When it comes to germinating the seeds, it is best to wait for the first frosts to end, which in the Mediterranean is usually at the end of February or the beginning of March, and do it indoors.
When the minimum outdoor temperature does not drop below 10 degrees, the peppers can be gradually removed. Once out, its greatest demand is hydration, so watering every two or three days is not taken away from anyone, except an automatic irrigation system.
