Often growers mix the grains to the substrate for hydroponic make lighter means of cultivation. The roots will therefore tend to branch more.

A third popular method is the direct cultivation of plants in clay, expanded in hydroponic systems.

Thanks to the use of hydroponic grains, the risk of mold, powdery mildew and other diseases becomes minimum.
