The EC/TDS electrode is a sensor based on an electrochemical cell. This cell begins to suffer wear from the moment of its manufacture until the end of its useful life. The life of an electrode is limited, being typical from 1 year to 2 years. Careful handling and good cleaning are essential for a good measurement result.

Before measuring or calibrating, the electrode must be rinsed with distilled water. The electrode should never be touched with fingers, paper, or anything other than water.

We advise you to regularly recalibrate the EC/TDS probe with a suitable calibration solution for optimum accuracy. You can combine the purchase of a probe with a calibration solution available in our store) without additional shipping costs.
