Fly Trap for fruit flies SanSan (Moskisan)

MOSKISAN® is a unique patented "fly trap" intended for the capture by mass trapping of Ceratitis Capitata. It has a special patented configuration that guarantees very high catch levels, optimizes the duration of the attractant as it is closed and allows easy stacking and handling.

Its special design allows the placement of the KILLDISC® insecticide, SANSAN's alternative to DDVP.

MOSKISAN® has been tested by the Plant Health Departments of the provinces of Alicante, Badajoz, Huelva, Lleida, Seville, Tarragona, Valencia. Ideal trap for the Fruit Fly and Drosophila suzuki.

Pheromones are chemical substances released into the air by insects, which are specifically taken up by other insects of the same species. We use these compounds (usually produced by females) to attract insects (males) and prevent females from copulating and laying eggs on the flowers. These eggs are the ones that later become caterpillars that feed on plant material (leaves and flowers). Each pest has its biological cycle and a number of generations per year, therefore it is necessary to know exactly in each area, what are the moments in which the pest is active in the adult state and the different generations, which are usually variable depending on of the temperatures of the habitat where they are found. The traps are placed hanging from a support (or branch) in an amount of 1 per 100 square meters of plantation (do not place pheromone diffusers for different species in the same trap). Pheromones must be replaced every 30 days and must be handled with gloves and stored in the refrigerator until use.
