Rockwool Growing Board 100x15x7.5 Cultilène: a widely used growing support in conventional agriculture that comes in 1-metre boards on which you can grow between 3 and 5 plants.
Rockwool was discovered by scientists in Hawaii in 1850, when they observed the strands of rock created by the eruptions of the Mauna Loa volcano. What scientists could not foresee was that their discovery would lead to such enormous changes in plant cultivation, almost a century later.
Rockwool cultivation is being used together with modern greenhouse structures, with good ventilation and high production potential, where it is possible to increase crop yield, obtaining a greater quantity and quality of harvest. Common sense tells us that this cultivation system should be used in conjunction with modern greenhouse structures, but in other traditional structures, the increase in production is also visible.
Experience shows that different crops in different cultivation areas show improved yields, as well as greater homogeneity, reducing the amount of waste.
Rock wool, being a crop that grows outside the soil, the land does not need any basic fertilisation treatment, manure or any other work aimed at improving its structure. Only, we will need to break up the soil structure a bit to allow for good drainage.
The mainly horizontal fibre structure of the "Exact Slab" product ensures good root penetration along the slab.
